Cityscope - A division of RP Data Limited herein referred to as "Cityscope" provides information about properties in Australian business districts. This includes a physical description of each property, its owner's name and address, a sales history, a list of tenants, title numbers, and historic notes. Cityscope is available in hard copy and as a database distributed on CD-ROM.
Personal information:
If you own property in a commercial area, the personal information that Cityscope might include about you consists of your name and address.
How we collect information:
Cityscope collects information from publicly available records such as Land Titles Offices, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, company announcements to the Stock Exchange, newspaper and journal articles, and from physical inspection of properties.
How we use personal information:
Cityscope includes personal information (names and addresses) of owners of property in commercial districts in Australia. This information is sold to property investors, developers, and agents, and to suppliers of services to property owners.
Disclosing personal information:
It is a condition of sale of Cityscope's database that purchasers undertake to comply with the National Privacy Principles in using and disclosing personal information contained in the database.
